money money money...

Been a long long time didnt write blog. Well, have a few interesting thoughts that dawned upon me recently and decided to jot them down.

Long have this idea that those sales promotions held by the department stores are not savings to us at all. Why? Just think of it, it's true that the price during the discount period (say $80) is lower than before (say $100). However, regardless whether it is before the disc or during the sale, we HAVE NOT spent a single cent. And so, if we were to purchase a certain item during the sale, wouldn't we have spent $80 compared to earlier when we didn't even take out a single cent from the wallet? So where's the savings? Hmmm.... So this explains why I'm not particularly crazy over GSS or the year end sale. I just buy what I need and need not be during the promotion period. Yes, you may say I'm disadvantaged but I'd think I save since I do not spend unnecessarily (better than buy items which I don't need it during the sale).

Then not long ago, I lamented to myself that what we spend is all pure expenditure. If only I can get some returns from the purchases... ROI mah! And then BINGO!! Thoughts are really things! A friend introduced me to a good lobang that answers my prayers! Haha... Called it fate and my good luck! Now I can buy things and can calculate my ROI even on the smallest household items! Yippee! :D
